The next example shows a popular chord progression: I-vi-IV-V in C Major. Each keybed display the notes of each chord in the progression going in order from top to bottom. Click the play button on the right of 'Show Progression Controls' to hear what it sounds like.
The chord inversions have been chosen to minimise the finger movement between each chord. This makes keeps the physical chord movements to a minimum and in the same area of the keyboard.
The final keybed has labels along the top of each key identifying the C major scale, giving you the information you need to play a melody in the right hand.
Experiment with the Progression Controls. The Reverse Progression option can have surprising results, giving you a quick, interesting alternative for your practice and learning.
